  • Continue to support local businesses to keep our economy going. Your local restaurants are doing a great job of expanding delivery and take-out service. Eat and shop local!
  • Be protective of your neighbors that may be in groups that are at a higher risk for catching COVID-19. If you are feeling under the weather, please avoid contact with them.
  • Help your neighbors. Offer to run errands or shop for those that need to stay home.

Regular Updates

Update July 31st

In accordance with the governor’s orders to wear masks in the state of Wisconsin, Forward has initiated plans to promote compliance by our customers and staff. This includes closing the lobbies in Colby, Greenwood, Medford, Park Falls, Phillips, Stanley, and Withee for the health and safety of our customers and staff. Marshfield and Thorp will maintain current lobby hours Monday-Friday, 8:30am-1:30pm

Our teams have been issued face coverings for use during customer facing meetings. The only time we will ask for any customer to lower their mask is to verify identity as they enter the building.

For your safety and ours, please continue to use and/or start using our digital banking services. Also remember to use our deposit-accepting ATMs in Marshfield, Colby, Medford, Thorp, & Withee. It’s a convenient way to bank wherever and whenever you want!

Update April 13th

You may have heard of the payments being referred to by many as stimulus payments, but the true name of the program is Economic Impact Payments. That is important to know if you are searching for more detailed information on the internet.

Find out what this means for you and other helpful tips.

Update April 1st

Please protect yourself as you wait for your stimulus funds! If you receive calls, emails, or other communications claiming to be from the Treasury Department and offering COVID-19 related grants or stimulus payments in exchange for personal financial information, or an advance fee, or charge of any kind, including the purchase of gift cards, please do not respond.  These are scams.

Update March 31st

We continue to work diligently to keep our customers and the Forward team safe through the Safer-at-Home order. Our lobbies remain closed, but our drive-up lanes are open. To keep everyone safe, we are sanitizing frequently throughout the day – that includes our ATMs.

We know that you still need access to your money throughout this time. Please remember the convenient options of:

  • ATMs
  • Mobile Banking – including Mobile Check Deposit
  • Online Banking

If you are concerned about swiping your debit card to make purchases, consider loading it into a mobile wallet.

For those looking to apply for a consumer loan or mortgage, we do have online applications that you can complete from the comfort of your homes. Our team of lenders is still available by phone to help you through the process.

Update March 23rd

We want to remind you of the strength of the banking industry as a whole and of Forward Bank. As an essential business, we will not be closing and remain dedicated to helping our customers through this time. There is no reason to take large amounts of funds out of the bank – it is the safest place for your funds during the COVID-19.

Forward is in a strong position to take care of all our customers during this time. We will continue to lend, process transactions, and support our communities through charitable giving. We, like all banks, are backed by the FDIC. You, our customers, are covered.

Please make your financial decisions based on facts, not panic. We welcome your questions and will provide advice centered around your best interests. Trust that we can move through this together!

While addressing keeping our customers and employees safe amidst the COVID-19 crisis, we unfortunately experienced a system outage. This impacted our operations in many ways including taking our mobile and online banking offline. Customers were able to access their funds using our ATMs and their debit cards.

The Forward team, working with our software provider, methodically worked to restore and test systems throughout the weekend. All access to mobile and online banking has been restored.

Update March 17th

As of Wednesday, March 18, 2020, all Forward locations will close to lobby traffic until further notice to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our area. This also includes the closure of our insurance and investment offices to walk-in traffic.

We will be servicing our customers and communities through our drive-up lanes throughout this timeframe. For our business and mortgage customers, please call your relationship manager to set an appointment for a video conference or meeting.

Insurance and Investment teams will be available by email, phone, and appointment only.

Update March 13th

Like businesses and families throughout the state and nation, the team at Forward is constantly monitoring the developing situation with COVID-19. The center of all our decisions will be the safety of our customers and employees.

Our Preparation
Forward has a comprehensive plan in place to ensure banking operations continue with as little disruption as possible. We’ve been working with our vendors, reviewing staff needs, and putting contingency plans in place. These include remote access capabilities, alternate work locations for employees, and continuity plans for critical operations if needed.

Branch Access and Safety
We are making every effort to maintain regular operations throughout our network of locations. To maintain a safe environment for our customers to conduct their transactions, we have implemented additional cleaning and sanitizing procedures for all areas of our facilities. Our staff is well educated on what to look for with COVID-19 and is encouraged to stay at home if they or family members are ill to prevent the spread to colleagues or customers.
