Innovation helps communities move forward. Forward Bank is putting that idea into action with a $15,000 donation to Colby High School to help bring new technology to the school’s athletic program.
The donation will support the school’s investment in a Turf Tank automated field-marking system. Using GPS technology, the Turf Tank robot can mark athletic fields and will support football plus an additional sports. The proposed system includes the robot and GPS package, software, equipment, training, and support.
“At Forward, we’re always looking for new and better ways to serve our customers and communities, and we love seeing that same spirit of innovation right here in Colby,” said Traci Geiger, Office Manager at Forward Bank. “This technology is an investment in more than an athletic field. It’s an investment in our students, our school, and a community that isn’t afraid to try new ideas. We’re excited to help Colby High School take this step forward.”
For Forward Bank, supporting innovation goes hand in hand with supporting strong communities. Just as Forward continues to invest in technology that makes banking easier and more convenient for its customers, this project gives Colby High School an opportunity to use technology in a new way to support its athletic facilities.
As a mutual bank, Forward is owned by its depositors rather than outside shareholders. That means Forward can focus on its customers and reinvest in the places it calls home. Investments like this one bring together two important parts of Forward’s mission: supporting local schools and encouraging ideas that help move our communities into the future.
