Forward Donates $5,000 to Friends of the Old School

Forward has donated $5,000 to help the Friends of the Old School in Withee to make repairs and update security following a vandalism incident. This contribution joins many community members and area businesses in restoring a valuable and beloved landmark.

“It is a credit to community values for so many to step up in our time of need,” commented Mary Ellen Hughes, Friends of the Old School spokesperson. “Forward, joining the support at the level they have, will help us complete this project and move on as a community. You often don’t realize how much a building is used until you can’t use it. We’re excited to open up for our community.”

“The drive to support our communities where and when they need us is a cornerstone for decisions at Forward,” stated Chelsey Weegmann, Office Manager for Forward Bank in Withee. “Especially in times of unexpected need, it’s heartwarming to provide support for groups that maintain the health, happiness, and safety of the Owen-Withee area.”
