Forward Bank is excited to announce the addition of Derek Helm to the Lake City office as a Mortgage Lender. Known for his people-first mindset and years of hands-on experience in financial services, Derek will play a key role in helping area residents achieve their homeownership goals.
Derek began his journey with Forward Bank through the Youth Apprenticeship program while still in high school. Over the last six years he has developed a strong background in customer service and personal lending. His approachable style and commitment to building lasting relationships make him a natural fit for Forward’s mission of community-centered banking.
“Supporting people through one of life’s biggest milestones like buying a home is something I truly value,” said Helm. “I’m excited to return to Forward and connect with the Lake City community on a deeper level.”
Derek remains active beyond the office as well. He serves as volunteer treasurer for the nonprofit HART and is a member of the Marshfield Chamber Ambassador Club. When not working he enjoys sporting events, golfing, curling, and spending quality time with family.
