Community Giving

CMMA Charities CMMA logo_heart with hands_volunteer-donate

Local charities are a key component in keeping our communities strong. They fill unique and important niches in helping us all with the educational, spiritual, cultural, social and health aspects of our lives. To provide a consistent donation stream for our local charities on behalf of our customers, we’ve created the Charitable Money Market Account (CMMA). Since it’s inception we’ve given over $700,000 to over 125 worthwhile organizations!

To open and maintain a CMMA, all the customer needs to do is open the account, designate a participating non-profit organization, school, or church, and keep a balance in their account throughout the year. At the end of the calendar year, Forward Bank will make a donation to the designated charity on behalf of the customer based on their average account balance. No money is taken from the customer’s account.

Cooperative Programs

Forward Bank is excited to partner with local school athletic programs in order to find new ways to encourage attendance at sporting events and give back to the communities.

NEW FOR 2018: $5K Touchdown Throw:  New in 2018, Forward Bank is hosting a $5,000 Touchdown Throw at 8 local high schools. Each fan at participating High School Football games will be eligible to attempt the $5,000 touchdown throw into a 32-gallon barrel in the corner of the end zone. The lucky participant will be selected at random from the crowd to attempt the throw from the 15-yard line and can choose which corner they would like to throw to. If successful, the passer will receive $2,500 and $2,500 will be donated to the athletic program on their behalf. If the throw is not made, a check of $250 was made to the hosting school to support their athletic department.

$5K FIELD GOAL KICK: Each fall, a $5,000 Field Goal Kick was held at several participating local high schools. Each fan in attendance was entered into a random drawing for the kick. If selected, the person had one chance to kick a 25 yard field goal (set up the 15 yard line). If the kick was successful, they won $2,500 for themselves and $2,500 for the school! If the kick was not made, a check of $250 was made to the hosting school to support their athletic department.

Each fan in attendance is entered into a random drawing for the shot. If selected, the person has two chances to shoot a basket from half court. If the shot is successful, they win $2,500 for themselves and $2,500 for the school! If the shot is not made, a check of $250 will be made to the hosting school to support their athletic department.

$5K ON ICE: Forward Bank also takes their $5,000 challenge to the ice in Marshfield and Medford!  Each fan in attendance is entered into a random drawing for the shot. If selected, the person has two chances to make a shot-on-goal through the Forward target from the center line. If the shot is successful, they win $2,500 for themselves and $2,500 for the school! If the shot is not made, a check of $250 will be made to the hosting school to support their athletic department.

Student athletes are adding to their educational experience and will bring so many skills to their communities and future employers. We will continue to find new ways to bring fans to the stands to cheer them on!
