Forward Bank Donates $30,000 To Park Falls Hockey Arena

November 16, 2020

Forward Bank has donated $30,000 to move improvements to the Park Falls ice arena forward. The Park Falls Ice Arena is home to multiple hockey teams ranging in age groups from 6-18 years old, and the price ice figure skaters.

Fundraising by the ice arena board of directors will continue until the project is completed. The locker rooms have already been remodeled. Currently, the concession stand is being improved to allow for more food options to be efficiently served during events. As funding comes available, the group plans to expand the heated viewing area to allow families and fans to watch games more comfortably.

“Raising funds for this project has been more difficult during the current environment,” commented Allie Plessner, Park Falls Ice Arena Member. “Having Forward support this in a big way has re-energized the project. By bringing the arena up-to-date we will be able to invite more regional and statewide competitions drawing fans to spend time and money in our community.”

“Arenas like this are not only important for the sports teams that use them, they are gathering places for our communities during the off season,” stated Tracy Linsmeyer, Office Manager of Forward Bank in Park Falls. “The investment we are making with this donation will positively impact so many in the Park Falls area.”
