You may have heard of the payments being referred to by many as stimulus payments, but the true name of the program is Economic Impact Payments. That is important to know if you are searching for more detailed information on the internet.

Find out what this means for you and other helpful tips.

Update April 1st

Please protect yourself as you wait for your stimulus funds! If you receive calls, emails, or other communications claiming to be from the Treasury Department and offering COVID-19 related grants or stimulus payments in exchange for personal financial information, or an advance fee, or charge of any kind, including the purchase of gift cards, please do not respond.  These are scams.

Update March 23rd

We want to remind you of the strength of the banking industry as a whole and of Forward Bank. As an essential business, we will not be closing and remain dedicated to helping our customers through this time. There is no reason to take large amounts of funds out of the bank – it is the safest place for your funds during the COVID-19.

Forward is in a strong position to take care of all our customers during this time. We will continue to lend, process transactions, and support our communities through charitable giving. We, like all banks, are backed by the FDIC. You, our customers, are covered.

Please make your financial decisions based on facts, not panic. We welcome your questions and will provide advice centered around your best interests. Trust that we can move through this together!

While addressing keeping our customers and employees safe amidst the COVID-19 crisis, we unfortunately experienced a system outage. This impacted our operations in many ways including taking our mobile and online banking offline. Customers were able to access their funds using our ATMs and their debit cards.

Update March 13th

Like businesses and families throughout the state and nation, the team at Forward is constantly monitoring the developing situation with COVID-19. The center of all our decisions will be the safety of our customers and employees.

Our Preparation
Forward has a comprehensive plan in place to ensure banking operations continue with as little disruption as possible. We’ve been working with our vendors, reviewing staff needs, and putting contingency plans in place. These include remote access capabilities, alternate work locations for employees, and continuity plans for critical operations if needed.

Branch Access and Safety
We are making every effort to maintain regular operations throughout our network of locations. To maintain a safe environment for our customers to conduct their transactions, we have implemented additional cleaning and sanitizing procedures for all areas of our facilities. Our staff is well educated on what to look for with COVID-19 and is encouraged to stay at home if they or family members are ill to prevent the spread to colleagues or customers.
