Get Started Investing
Financial planning offers a holistic look at your financial picture and investment portfolio. It gives you a road map for handling your money in a way that cuts stress and builds confidence.
It can also play a crucial role in meeting goals, such as buying a house or creating a nest egg that will last long after you’ve collected your final paycheck.
At Forward Investment Services we offer all clients comprehensive financial planning at no cost or obligation. We believe that everyone should have access to a holistic approach to investing.
What should I expect?
Establish Core Values
First, we will establish how we will work together. We'll discuss and define our responsibilities and review expectations.
Explore Possibilities + Set Goals
Next, we will discuss your current financial situation and determine how to pursue your goals. We'll look at assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, investments, and possible tax strategies.
What happens next?
At the end of the meeting, we'll have a strong understanding of where you are financially, where you want to be, and how you will get there.
Brainstorm Strategies + Analyze Tactics
In a follow-up meeting, we will review our financial recommendations. We'll explain the rationale so you can make informed decisions, while addressing questions and concerns and make revisions if necessary.
Illustrate Recommendations + Prioritize Implementation
Next, we will decide how the recommendations will be carried out. We're available to serve as your guide to financial wellness and coordinate our efforts with other professionals, such as attorneys and accountants.
Monitor + Review Process
We will keep track of progress and evaluate any changes to the plan as needed. Goals may evolve over the years due to changes in life such as a career change, growing family, a new home, or inheritance.
How can I prepare for our first meeting?
Begin to identify your goals by asking yourself questions similar to these:
- When would I like to retire?
- What does my dream retirement look like?
- Do I plan to work in retirement?
- How will I pay for my kids’ college education?
- Who will be my beneficiaries?
Bring financial statements with you:
- 401(k)/other investments statements
- Mortgage/other debt statements
- Pay stubs for you and/or spouse
- Your most recent tax return
- Your monthly budget
All of our strategies begin with financial planning. From there, we may recommend:
- Advisory Services (Fee-Based)
- Fixed Income
- Life Insurance
- Long-Term Care
- Mutual Funds
- Stocks and Bonds
